Enjoy An Epic And Give Back To The Sport
Slideshow from the South Yuba IMBA Epic

In cooperation with the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA), BONC hosted the South Yuba IMBA Epic on May 11-12th, 2002. This event involved a trail maintenance day on Saturday, May 11th and the Epic ride itself on Sunday, May 12th.

Over seventy volunteers from around the United States gathered to provide trail maintenance on the South Yuba Trail. Under supervision of the Tahoe National Forest, these volunteers worked on some four miles of the trail. In an era of limited public funding for such projects, hikers, bicyclists and other users of local trails continue to benefit from the volunteer work mountain bikers contribute.

On Sunday, cyclists enjoyed the fruits of their labor by riding some 34 miles of local trails, including the South Yuba Trail.
